Practice Swords
Practice Swords are a great tool used to refine your sword handling and fighting techniques. Most cultures around the world used wooden practice swords to train up young recruits when swords were the weapon of the day. Today Kendo, meaning “way of the sword” is probably one of the last main disciplines solely devoted to sword fighting.
Many other martial arts have sword fighting as an advanced course amongst other ancient weapons such as fighting with Spears, Sai and Nunchucks. It is important to remember that even though a practice sword is not made of steel it can still do a lot of damage such as breaking bones, so they should be used in conjunction with proper protective gear.
